Apply the corrections
The first thing we did for the final submission was applyign the corections as soon as possible, so we could see the final result a couple of times and work on it as much as we can.
Animations
Anto did the corrections in the blocking animation. He improted a new knife, and animated it along the timeline. Also, he adjusted the speed of the characters. Finally, he added the movement of jeffersont taking the knife out and opening the tuna can.
Adrian did the mapping of the tuna can and helped Anto animating some minor parts.
Playblast
After the animation was ready, we did the playblast. Most parts of the cameras were done, so it was easy to playblast the whole scene. Adrian and me kept focused on the parts of the video we decided to work with, but also Anto exported some shots from the knife scene.
VFX Elements
After the shots were exported, I added the VFX elements Vincent recommend us, as dust, blood and explosions.
Poster
I did the poster image in Photoshop, and then I added it into the video with a simple tracking in Nuke. Also, I did a roto and a mask in order to delete the camera that was moving in the background.
Gunfire
I did the drawing of a gun fire in Photoshop, and I exported it as a png with transparent blackground, in order to be able to place it over the image in Premiere.
Explosion
I added the explosion of the shoe, by mixing two explosions of the ones that we had in the VFX assets, pruchased by Christos. I put one behing the character, doing a roto, and the other one over it. The one whcih is over is smaller, and I graded it red in order to simulate the fire.
Smoke
After Jefferson show is shooted, I added some smoke in all the followind scenes, coming from the broken shoe.
Blood
Finally. I added some blood behind the knife, to make it easier to understand that Jefferson is hurt.
Editing
After doing all the playblast and adding all the FX shots, we did the editing again taking as a referente the old editing, and do slight changes to refine it.
Foley
Once we finished out last version of the previsualization, Anto and me did a simple foley in order to add some sound effects to enhance the scene and improve the storytelling.
