Collaborative Project | Shooting

The shooting was made in two different days.

Day One

Crew

  • Directors: Adrián Góngora and Carola Martos
  • Cameras: Simone Merino and Adrián Galdeano
  • Actress: Malin Frank

Also, we got some extra help from a BA animation student in order to keep an eye on the equipment and the green screen. Also, we got help from Christos Sfetsios, our tutor, in order to assist us in the shooting and back us up with more batteries and other technical tips.

Shooting

This day we shooted allt he experior in Bank. We shooted everything with the blackmagix except the backgrounds, which was recorded with a Lumix.

The first thing we recorded was the green scren. We holded in two tripods and one bar, bunt since it wass windy we ended up needing 2 persons in order to hold it and avoid it to fall.

It was important for the green screen to have it tight so it does not give us any problems in the keying.

Apart from the green screen, we also shooted all the introduction shots with steadycam, as well as the ones in the tube.

Finally, we recorded with a tripod different shots of the background in 4K, in order to speed them up and zoom them if necessary.

Day two

This day we shooted in the green screen studio all the scene of the dance.

Crew

  • Directing: Carola Martos and Adrian Gongora
  • Camera: Adrian Gongora and Carola Martos
  • Lighting: Carola Martos and Adrian Gongora
  • Cast: Malin Frank as a main character and 5 MA animation students who danced for us as well
  • Help and support: Christos Sfetsios and Billie Vine

Shooting

In this shooting we used two cameras, the lumix for the general shots and the Blackmagic for the close ups. We kept the cameras in the same position, and just shooting the dance which we were planning while recording. We told Malin what did we need and she performed for us.

We also took extra shots for reference.

This shooting was more easy than we expected because Malin was really resolutive with the dancing. Also, counting with the unpredicted support of the MA Animation students was a really nice experience.
